Bequia/Canada artiste releases new single from her upcoming album

Mississauga based singer Devaney has released a song “Crazy” from her upcoming EP album “Now You Know.” The song is Honest, heartfelt, combined with a sweet rhythm and melody that does a great job to capture the craziness of love in the age of social media. As Devaney explains “I try to incorporate the rhythms that we use in Reggae music, as far as how it’s sung and the words I use, but I always show my R&B side too” This mixture of sounds shows is influenced by her roots on Bequia in the St Vincent Grenadines, and Mississauga, Ontario. Although born in Canada, Devaney Leslie spent much of her youth in Bequia. There, she was raised by her grandparents alongside a large family with a love of music where she was initially introduced to Reggae, Country, and other Caribbean flavors of music, and from her mother, she was introduced to singers such as Christina Aguilera and Toni Braxton who influenced her heavily with her song-writing process.
