Shevonne has the people of the Southern Grenadines at heart
EDITOR: I have seen countless comments from those who hide behind fake profiles, disparaging Chevron Steward—[Shevonne Stewart] a dedicated working mother, a strong Vincentian woman, and a humanitarian. She has tirelessly put herself on the line to uplift the people of the Southern Grenadines. It’s essential to recognize that her efforts may not always be visible in the donations and packages received during times of crisis, such as the volcano eruption or Hurricane Beryl, but her contributions over the years have been significant.
Those who truly know her understand that her heart is always with the people of the Southern Grenadines. It’s disheartening that some choose to undermine and disparage her. The reality is that many residents of Southern Grenadines are hesitant to seek genuine representation and instead prefer to cast their votes for parties that offer little hope—like betting on a one-legged horse that’s destined to lose.
It’s time for the people of the Southern Grenadines to wake up and recognize the need for meaningful change. Blind voting must stop. For those with daughters, sisters, granddaughters, and mothers, I urge you to think critically about how we treat women like Chevron. Remember that karma has a way of catching up with us, and the age-old saying about tears holds truth—what goes around comes around.
Furthermore, let’s not forget those who have benefitted from the generosity of individuals like Snagg. He has supported many from his own pockets for years, all while knowing who stood by him and who didn’t. That’s the mark of a truly good person. God sees all, and His justice prevails.
Let’s stand behind Chevron Steward, a proud Vincentian woman, and support her in using her voice to advocate for the people of the Southern Grenadines in the Cabinet of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. It’s time for people in the Grenadines to rally for Chevron Steward so they can have real representation and progress.
