Lift The Cuban Embargo Entirely!

Editor: I wish to whole heartedly give my support to the belated action of the Joe Biden administration in the USA to try and correct a wicked historical wrong by taking the name of Cuba off its list of state sponsors of terrorism and other coercive measures which have harmed Cuba and the Cuban people tremendously.

It is a pity that Biden, at the end of his term of office, took this long and in fact, given the accession of the Trump administration next week, the Cuban people may not get the opportunity to benefit from the last-minute measures which can be immediately reversed by his successor.

Nevertheless, it is a step in the right direction, but it will not save Biden from being remembered as continuing to continue the unjust policies towards Cuba. It is important for all of us who believe in justice and democracy to urge the USA to take its oppressive boots off the necks of the Cuban people and to urge the European Union to also lift its sanctions against our sister people.
