A turn around is needed in our homes
EDITOR: The home is very important. It can make or break a child. There are no perfect homes. However, there are two major pillars in a healthy home and they are love and communication.
Many children grow up with anger because of failure to defend and believe them against sexual abuse. This is a lack of love. When a child is sexually molested especially from supposedly persons they can trust, and when mommy does not defend her and take action, then that mother has failed that child, which is not love. That child feels unloved, unwanted, no good, and so would grow with that anger, which he or she would take out on some body.
Child abandonment is another way a child feels unloved, unwanted, abused and no good. This negative display is not love.
Communication in the home many times is seriously lacking. Often times its the phone, tablet and television are the communicators. There is a decrease in physically sitting down and talking with children. Far too many mothers, don’t compliment their children, but only criticize or curse them. This can have a negative effect on the child. That child can feel useless, no good and unloved. This can cause the child to be angry, which can result in violent behaviour.
I strongly recommend a turn around in our homes, and most importantly, put Christ as the head of the home.
