Haiti, I am sorry, but there is still hope
EDITOR: Haiti I am sorry were the words from a song. These words best suit Haiti today. A country that is still indebted unfairly to France continues to struggle and is at the bottom economically of the countries in the Caribbean.
Haiti I am sorry for the present situation that you are in. It does not seem like there would be an easy fix soon. This is why Haiti, I am sorry. The continued civil war will continue to keep the country from moving forward. Of course we know that there are other factors contributing to Haiti’s lack of progress in many ways.
That is why Haiti I am sorry. There seems to be an ongoing problem in that country with the residents and governments over the years and up to this point. Because there is always unrest, assassination and many other things, including earthquakes and other incidents, these have negatively affected Haiti.
Half of the AID that is sent there is never given to the residents. Many organisations and politicians neglect the poverty and lack of many basic things in that country. Sometimes I wonder what Haitians want since they never seem to be satisfied with any government that goes there.
Haiti I am sorry for your present state, but let us hope that in the near future there would be stability and growth economically. Let us hope and pray that the Haitians would one day be able to see a reduction on a large scale of poverty, and that the support and AID would be given to the persons for whom they were sent and that advantage would not be taken of the Haitians.
I believe there is still hope for Haiti amidst the unrest and instability.
