SVG Gospel Fest climaxes this weekend

The 2023 Digicel SVG Gospel Festival will officially climax this weekend with programmes from today, April 28 to Sunday night.

Organisers say tonight there will be the Korean Divine Designs SVG Bible Festival that will feature four churches- Church of God of Prophecy, Faith Temple Church, Redemption Christian Fellowship and the Wesleyan Holiness Church Georgetown competing over five rounds of 20 questions, each taken from the Gospels. The programme will be held at the Faith Temple Church from 7.00 p.m.

On Sunday night at the Russell’s Auditorium, the National Gospel Showcase will take place. There will be performances in song, dance and drama from some of the most outstanding artistes coming from all areas of St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Several entities will make appearances; these include: Ekkelesia Gospel Band; Rooted Dance Ministry; Dillon Welcome and Zonel Wilkson, among others.

Special guests for that evening include international gospel artiste Neisha Woods of Barbados, and Psalmist Donna Clyne of the British Virgin Islands.

The 2023 SVG Gospel Festival is being celebrated under the theme: “A Glorious Celebration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ”. The festival is into its twenty first year.
