Better bus service needed for OTR children going to school in Kingstown

EDITOR: I would like to voice my concern for the ‘Over The River’ (OTR) children who go to school in Kingstown.

My daughter attends the Thomas Saunders Secondary School along with four other students from Point Village, plus one from Old Sandy Bay, making it six students from the area. The school bus departs from Sandy Bay, so if these children do not get a ride on mornings to take them from Point to Sandy Bay in time to catch the bus, they are left behind to struggle to get a ride, any way they can. This is of great concern to me as a parent.

On afternoons, the children are left behind in Kingstown if they are in class for a few extra minutes as the bus driver does not wait for the children once they are not there for the time he arrives at the bus stop.

As a parent, I would love to see better service and care for our OTR North Windward children who work very hard to attend their school of choice in Kingstown.
