Respect God and His Son – Stop shooting and killing!

Editor: Why? Why are there so many senseless shootings and in some cases, killings taking place? Yes, we know that we are living in the Last Days. 2 Timothy 3:1-5. But does that mean that we have to be part of the negative fulfillment of the Last Days? Can you imagine how the Most High, Jehovah, feels when he sees such senseless actions? Psalm 83:18; Isaiah 26:4.{{more}} In Noah’s day, Jehovah God was grieved at heart over man’s wickedness. Genesis 6:5, 6. He must feel the same way today. Think too of how Jehovah’s Son feels. Being the first creation of Jehovah as Colossians 1:15 and Revelation 3:14 show, Jesus must have delighted in sharing with his Father in making everything perfect. Genesis 1:26, 31. How saddening it is for Jesus to see many not walking God’s way.

None of us created life. How foolish it is when we allow anger to cause us to harm and worse yet, take someone’s life. Stop the senseless shootings and killings. Rather than reacting rashly when angry with somebody, why not leave the scene and cool down! Proverbs 17:14. Nor should anybody encourage another to injure or kill someone. Proverbs 26:17. Be humble and seek peace. James 4:6, 7; Romans 14:19. Yes, show respect to the most powerful one in the universe, Jehovah God, the Giver of Life, the ONE and “ONLY true God”. John 17:3. Respect His Son also, Jesus Christ. Therefore, treat persons’ lives as sacred, by not deliberately harming or ending anyone’s life by shooting or any other means. Live the way they want us to live and look forward to enjoying everlasting life, when God becomes all things to everyone, and His Son lovingly remains in subjection to him, to the blessings of all faithful ones. 1 Corinthians 15:28 John 3:16; Revelation 21:3, 4.
