Tragedy and gift giving
21.APR.11
Editor: A reminder to us all that there are in our midst those who have suffered the loss of all earthly possessions, dignity, respect and security.{{more}} At a time when God gave the gift of himself to the world through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us be lavish in giving good gifts to those in need. In Georgetown and throughout this country, there exist in our midst those who are in the throes of tragedy. We can help to alleviate a part of this suffering by taking unto ourselves their pain, and offering them our generous gifts.
As we empathize with those who suffer, we pray for them, while we help with food, water and clothing. Give, not just now, but at all times.
