Dangerous road after Charles Village

08.MAR.11

Editor: I hereby wish to call on our Government to take note of a dangerous spot on the main road after leaving Charles Village on the Leeward side of the island, traveling in the direction from Charles Village to Coulls Hill.{{more}}

This danger area is near the brow of the hill. The left side of the road has a notable crack and a sink, indicating to us that the road will eventually collapse, possibly causing injury and deaths.

Drivers often drive off their hand, to the right, out of fear that the road may collapse; but this is dangerous since they can collide with an oncoming vehicle as a result of the bend in the road in that hazardous area.

I am therefore appealing to the Government to please fix that portion of the main road, thus avoiding injuries or death to drivers and passengers in the future.
