Peters: I am not involved in any political campaign

EDITOR: I resigned on Thursday, January 20, 1994, at 4:15 p.m., both from the New Democratic Party Cabinet, and Parliament. I considered myself then, an independent Vincentian. I have always cherished my independence greatly and, the principles and ideals that have emboldened my character and integrity. {{more}}

My resignation was the final chapter of my active participation in politics. I have made no promises to anyone that I will assist them in any political campaign, neither consented, that my name be used or associated, or affiliated with any political campaign anywhere, at anytime in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

As an independent thinker and an analyst, my unbiased contributions to the Press over the years revealed clearly the thinking assimilation of an unadulterated mind. However, at times silence is golden. Upon reflection, my continued persecution is a direct result of my unwavering stand against injustice, political reprisal, repressive civil and constitutional rights.

I have suffered irreparable damage, pain and emotional distress because of political vendetta. I wish to thank all those who have expressed their personal concerns about my survival.
