Labourer awaits sentencing for wounding man with shovel and stone

A 24-YEAR-OLD labourer of New Montrose, who pleaded guilty of wounding a 60 year old man using a shovel and stone, is now awaiting sentencing.

Kevin Garraway appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on April, 11, 2025, where he pleaded guilty to the offence of wounding. He is charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Tyrone Stewart, a 60-year-old carpenter of Largo Height by striking him to his head and about his body with a stone and a shovel on April 10, 2025 in Largo Height.

Garraway, who was remanded pending a bail review on April 15, 2025, was arrested and charged for the offense on April 10, 2025.

When he appeared in court, the matter was adjourned to April 25, 2025 for sentencing.
