Spring Village man who allegedly issued death threats, granted bail
A Spring Village man, who is currently residing in Georgetown, was granted composite bail in the sum of $1,000 after denying that he threatened to kill two men.
Glenroy Providence, 54, appeared at the Serious Offences Court on March 31, 2025 where he was charged that between March 14 and 16, 2025 he made verbal threats in circumstances likely to cause a breach of the peace.
He is accused of using threatening language toward Mozart Browne, a 28 year old labourer also of Spring Village stating, “I have a bullet for you.”
He was also charged in connection with a separate incident involving Randolph Ashbee, a 46-year-old mechanic of Spring Village. It is alleged that while in a public place at Spring Village, Providence made use of threatening language and issued a threat to kill, stating, “I have a bullet for you,” and further, “Randy, me go kill you, me go shoot you.”
Providence pleaded not guilty to both charges. He was offered composite bail in the sum of EC$1,000 and was ordered to report to the Georgetown Police Station every Wednesday and Friday between 8:00 a.m and 8:00 p.m.
He also was ordered not to have any contact with the complainant. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court for hearing on April 7, 2025.
