ULP selects Marvin Fraser for Central Kingstown
The Unity Labour Party (ULP) has selected former president of the St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation, Marvin “Mega” Fraser as its candidate for the Central Kingstown seat as it moves its re-election machinery into high gear.
Fraser was chosen by the party’s Central Kingstown candidate selection committee at a meeting held at the Lodge Village Government School on Saturday night, March 22, 2025.
His nomination now awaits the scrutinizing process by the candidate selection committee, and ratification by the ULP’s central executive and national council.
Fraser will come up against the New Democratic party’s Vice President, St. Clair Leacock who has represented the Central Kingstown constituency in parliament since 2010.
“…My philosophy in life is that I esteem others better than myself…when I stand in front of you, I stand in front of you humbled by life experience in itself. I am here to serve you,” Fraser said in response to his nomination.
“…Christ says that the greatest in His Kingdom must be a servant. I am looking for no kind of exaltation in life. I want to serve Central Kingstown, yellow, red, green, pink, and blue. I don’t care who you are… young, middle-aged, old… I want to make your life better. I want to put things in place to help you…and the only way I can do that is if you let me,” Fraser added.
