Early Childhood Centre receives television from St Vincent Automotive Co-Operative
A 55 year old co-operative has now adopted the Edinboro Early Childhood Centre as their school of focus as a part of their corporate social responsibility.
On Wednesday, March 5, the St Vincent Automotive Co-Operative Society (SACS) handed over a 40” Samsung Smart TV to the Edinboro Early Childhood Centre.
President and Chairperson of SACS, Ena Walters said at brief ceremony that they plan to adopt the pre-school, make further donations, and aid in the enhancement of learning at the early childhood institution.
“As an entity, the Board of Directors and management saw it fit to give back to the community by assisting and working with this institution, and make sure that our contribution is one that is beneficial to all,” Walter said.
Part of SACS undertaking involves community work, which is why the preschool was chosen as it is near their building, located upstairs the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God at the corner of Tyrell and Queen Street in Rose Place.
Walters said she reached out to the preschool’s principal to find out in what ways they could contribute to the institution.
