NLM plans March and Rally for Layou next weekend
The fledgling National Liberation Movement (NLM) said it is organising a public march and rally to take place next weekend to highlight “aspects of social injustices happening on our island”.
According to a release from the months-old party, other discussion points would be the issue of crime “especially among our young population”.
The march is slated for Sunday, March 16, 2025 in Layou, starting at 4:00 p.m, and the party said several persons will speak following the march.
Among those listed is Psychotherapist, Dr Trevor Stephen from Grenada, who is listed as the guest speaker.
The party, headed by former St Vincent and the Grenadines Diplomat, Dr Doris Charles-Fredericks, said the march will commence along the main road bordering the waterfront. It will continue along that road up past the old cemetery, exiting into the main entrance of the Plan area, continuing along that road towards the road that runs adjacent to the Layou Medical Clinic, then back onto the main road at that junction. Participants will proceed towards the waterfront area from where the march started, and the rally will take place there.
