Lowmans man sentenced for five traffic charges
A Lowmans Windward resident who was charged on five traffic offenses, pleaded guilty when he appeared at the Colonaire Magistrate’s Court on February 20, 2025.
The police said that on February 19, 2025, they arrested and charged 34 year old Kishrion Charles, the rider of motor cycle PY-218, with the violations, committed in Mt. Young.
He was charged for failing to comply with a stop sign given to him by a Police Officer dressed in uniform; for using the said motor cycle without being the holder of the relevant permit to ride that class of vehicle; for using the said vehicle without the relevant license for the period September 1, 2024, to February 8, 2025; for not having third party insurance for the motor cycle; and for riding the motor cycle in a dangerous manner on the public road.
When Charles appeared in court on February 20, 2025, he pleaded guilty to all charges.
He was reprimanded and discharged on the charge of driving without a relevant license.
On the other four offences, Charles was fined a total of EC$1,250 to be paid by April 4, 2025, in default of which he will spend one month at His Majesty’s Prison.
