Trailer complaints stirring Police to action

The police in St Vincent and the Grenadines have expressed concern about the manner in which some trailer operators use the road.

The concern was expressed by Station Sergeant, Kenny Jones, who, along with two other officers from the Traffic Department of the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, were guests on the Cop Chat programme on WEFM yesterday morning, February 20, 2025.

Jones said the department has been receiving complaints about trailers poorly using the roads.

One of these complaints has to do with the speed at which some of these heavy vehicles are driven.

The officer said this is a “serious complaint” which is often made by other road users.

He appealed for trailer operators to “exercise care when driving and when operating your trailers”.

Another concern is that of drivers parking their trailers in areas resulting in them causing serious problems to the general public. He said many of these trailer drivers ignore the relevant warning signs.
