2025 homicide count at five following Edinboro and Georgetown shooting
The Royal Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has launched an investigation into two fatal shootings- one at Edinboro on February 6 and the second at Mt. Bentick, Georgetown on February 9.
Police promptly responded to reports of gunfire in Edinboro, in the vicinity of the Catholic Pastoral Centre. Upon arrival, officers discovered Carl Quow, a 23-year-old resident of Edinboro, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds about his body.
He was later pronounced deceased at the scene by the District Medical Officer (DMO). During the incident, a minor also sustained an injury and was treated at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH). The individual has since been discharged.
The Crime Scene Unit processed the area and collected several exhibits to assist with the ongoing investigation. Investigators are determined to pursue all available leads. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.

The second incident occurred at Mt Bentick, Georgetown in the early hours of Sunday.
Upon responding to reports of gunfire, police officers discovered the lifeless body of 29-year-old Mokra Charles, a laborer of Georgetown, who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. According to initial reports, an unidentified masked assailant opened fire on Charles before fleeing the scene.
The District Medical Officer (DMO) later pronounced him deceased, and authorization was granted for the removal of the body. Personnel from the Crime Scene Unit processed the area, securing critical evidence that will aid investigators as they work to establish the circumstances surrounding this homicide. Police are actively pursuing leads to identify and apprehend the individual responsible. A post-mortem examination is scheduled to determine the precise cause of death.
