Help yourself if you are able- Edwin Snagg
While victims of Hurricane Beryl continue to recover and rebuild, a majority with Government assistance, an official within the governmental machinery is calling for those who can to do more for themselves.
“There’s an opportunity for us to really show the independence and resilience that we have, that is, provided that you have it,” Director of Grenadines Affairs Edwin Snagg commented recently.
Snagg said the Government is working steadfastly to rebuild the hurricane ravaged communities, but in some instances, persons with the means to help themselves are not doing so.
He said there are persons who received money from insurance companies and have spent this it badly and then turn to the government.
“If you could buy it (building materials)…we got to make an attempt to help. We talk about the levels of independence…
