Farmer fined $7,000 on Cannabis charge

A 30 year old farmer of Lowmans Bay who pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled drug was fined $7,000 when he appeared in court on January 30, 2025.

Ashley Noel was arrested on January, 29, 2025 and charged for possessing 15,439 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply to another, the police said in a release.

The offence was committed in Buddy Gutter, Lowmans Leeward.

Noel, who appeared at the Serious Offenses Court, has six months in which to pay the fine or he will serve a prison term of nine months.
