72 year old man to answer charges of using threatening language
A 72 year old gardener of Glen, charged for allegedly using threatening language, pleaded not guilty when he appeared in court on January, 30, 2025 and was granted bail. Verol Tucker is to appear in court again today, February 4, 2025, to answer to the charges laid against him.
The police said they arrested Tucker on January 29, 2025. He was charged with two counts of using threatening language in circumstances likely to cause a breach of the peace.
The septuagenarian is alleged to have told Tracy Wilson, a 40-year-old nursing assistant of Glen: “Hold on, I coming to kill you and your mother *#!+ing family.”
He was also charged with using threatening language toward a minor of the same address, saying:
“I will kill *#!+ing you all.”
The offences were allegedly committed on January 21, 2025, and January 27, 2025, respectively.
Tucker appeared at the Kingstown Magistrate Court on January 30, 2025, and pleaded not guilty to the charges. He was granted composite bail in the sum of EC$1,000 with one surety. He was also ordered not have any contact with the virtual complainant, and ordered to report to the Calliaqua Police Station every Thursday between 6:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Calliaqua Magistrate’s Court for hearing today, February 4, 2025.
