XTreme 104 FM to cease operations

One of this country’s FM radio stations is set to close operations this week.

“After careful consideration and extensive efforts to navigate a series of challenges, we have made the difficult decision to cease operations of Xtreme FM, effective January 15th, 2025,” a letter to customers from Marc Richardson, Managing Director states.

“Over the years, it has been our privilege to bring you quality programming and entertainment.

However, a combination of financial and operational challenges has made it unsustainable for us to continue,” the communication also states.

Richardson said the decision to cease operations was not made lightly, “ as we deeply value the support and loyalty of our listeners, advertisers and partners”.

“We are truly grateful for the trust you have placed in us over the years and for being an integral part of the Xtreme FM family.”
