70 officers in RSVGPF, Coast Guard promoted
Seventy officers within the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) and the SVG Coast Guard Service have been promoted. Approved by the Police Service Commission, these appointments on promotion, which took effect on various dates, mark significant updates to the leadership and operational structure of both organizations, the RSVGPF said in a release. Those promoted are: Foster Scott as Acting Superintendent of Police; as Assistant Superintendent, Atland Browne; from Inspectors to Acting Assistant Superintendents, Angus Morris and Nolan Dallaway; from Station Sergeants to Inspectors, Desrine Daize, and Maxian Richardson.
Station Sergeants Cuthbert Morris and Ken Samuel were promoted to the rank of Acting Inspector; while Casanki Quow, Dwight Lewis, Biorn Duncan and Kendal Horne moved up to be Station Sergeants; and Disraeli Lett and Carl Lewis now in the rank as Acting Station Sergeants.
Within the Coast Guard Service Celia Charles became the first female to be promoted to the rank of Acting Sub-Lieutenant. Kenlet Francis moves from Chief Petty Officer to the rank of Acting Sub-Lieutenant; and Alvis Daniel, who has acted as Sub-lieutenant, moves to the substantive post of Chief Petty Officer.
Melita Browne was confirmed to the position of Chief Petty Officer, while Jevon Lewis and Renrick Gibson have been promoted to be Chief Petty Officers. Marcel Morris was promoted as Acting Chief Petty Officer; while Daron Robinson received promotion as Petty Officer. The police release states that there also were general promotions within the Constabulary and Coast Guard, approved by Acting Commissioner of Police, Enville Williams. Six persons in the constabulary were promoted to be Sergeants; 11 as Acting Sergeants; seven as Corporals; and 17 as Acting Corporals.
In the Coast Guard Service; four persons moved to the rank of Petty Officers; one as Acting Petty Officer; and five as Leading Seamen.
The Acting Commissioner has extended congratulations to those who have been promoted, emphasizing that these advancements recognize their contributions and signify the additional responsibilities they now bear. The release also states that the top cop also extended his appreciation to all members of the organization for their continued service and dedication.
