Chauffeur charged with murder of Glen man

Tears welled up in the eyes of a man who is charged with the second murder in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for 2025.

Eros Cain appeared at the Serious Offences Court before Senior Magistrate, Colin John yesterday, January 6, 2025 where he was charged that on January 2, 2025 at Glen, with malice aforethought, he caused the death of Andrew “Gringo” Williams of Fountain by an unlawful act.

It is an indictable charge so Cain was not required to plea to the offence.

Crown Counsel, Cornelius Tittle, told the court that arresting officer, Inspector Bristol has requested four months to finalise investigations. However, the Senior Magistrate told the Crown Counsel that he will not entertain that request. Cain was remanded in custody, and the matter is adjourned to February 3, 2025 for an update.

Cain, and a female were sobbing in court during his arraignment.

Williams was said to have been rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) after he was shot, and later died of his injuries. After his death, people took to social media to express outrage over Williams’ death.
