Invest SVG targets overseas Vincentians in investment outreach programme

Invest SVG is preparing to launch their first diaspora outreach mission for 2025, an initiative geared at encouraging Vincentian nationals living abroad to open businesses and invest into their home country. In a release, the investment promotion agency states that as the first programme of its kind in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, they are expecting great success not only upon launch, but also in continuing this programme in collaboration with its various sponsors and stakeholders.

The mission, operating under the tag line, “Home Is Where the Heart Is”, seeks to strengthen ties with communities in the diaspora by hosting a series of informative workshops based around investment opportunities, business best
practices, product development, export services and other key topics in related fields. Invest SVG states that the outreach will be conducted from May 7-19 in Toronto, New York City, and Washington D.C.

Invest SVG states further that it values the importance of meeting people where they are, and acknowledges that these areas are home to a high concentration of Vincentian and Caribbean nationals.

“As our country’s Investment Promotions Agency, it is our duty to not only cater to our local market, but to also focus on fulfilling the needs of our countrymen abroad, reminding them that home is truly where the heart is,” Executive Director of Invest SVG, Glen Beache is quoted in the release as stating.

“We encourage all persons interested to save the dates for sessions in 2025 and reach out [to] us for any additional information.”

Invest SVG adds that over the coming months, further details will be provided and published on its various social media pages, but some dates are already confirmed as follows: Toronto, Canada, May 10, 2025; Washington D.C, United States, May 14, 2025; New York City, United States, May 17, 2025.
The teams will be on the ground around these dates as well to facilitate other forms of outreach.
