MP Daniel commiserates with grieving family of fire victims

Member of Parliament for North Windward, Montgomery Daniel, has said the house fire which claimed the lives of two toddlers at Langley Park on Wednesday was “unfortunate.”

Daniel, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister was on the scene of the fire on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, speaking with family members and other villagers. Wednesday’s fire claimed the lives of a year old boy and his three year old sister.

Having lost his only daughter some years ago, Minister Daniel said he knows what it feels like.

“I myself having lost a daughter at a very young age…I know what it is.”

He said to lose a loved one is very difficult, but to lose two children at the same time is much worse.

Daniel, who represents the area in Parliament, extended condolences to the families affected, and the the entire Langley Park community on this tragic loss.
