The St Vincent and the Grenadines Netball Association (SVGNA), in its ongoing partnership with the Bank of St Vincent and the Grenadines, (BOSVG,) has rewarded Ceronique Mitchell, a talented netballer, with a two-year scholarship to further her education at the SVG Community College.

Mitchell, who graduated from the St. Vincent Girls’ High School, was the captain of the school’s Senior netball team that placed third in the 2023 School’s Netball Tournament. Her performance at CSEC was exemplary, gaining passes in all subject areas. President of the SVG Netball Association, Natasha Baptiste said that this scholarship programme continues to be the flagship of the partnership with the bank as they focus not only on the athletic ability of the athletes but also their educational advancement and they are pleased that BOSVG has made this possible.

Meanwhile, Marketing & Communications Manager at BOSVG, Patricia John, expressing delight in the efforts of the financial institution stated, “We believe investing in Ceronique is not just an investment in the future of women in athletics, but also an investment in the future of our country”. Mitchell in her response said, “I am very honoured to have been selected as the 2024 recipient of this scholarship and will ensure that I make great use of this opportunity”.
