Peace Memorial Hall presents Grand Market to celebrate Cultural Heritage
The Peace Memorial Hall will host its inaugural Grand Market later this month intended to celebrate Cultural Heritage.
The Market, which will run from Monday, October 21, to Friday, October 26, 2024 also fits into the nation’s independence anniversary activities. A release from the Peace Memorial Hall said the landmark event is designed to foster community among local creatives in the craft, fashion, and culinary industries, aligning with the nation’s 45th anniversary of Independence.
The Market will open from 11:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m daily, and locals as well as visitors are being encouraged to pass by to explore “a diverse array of handmade crafts, fashionable attire, and delectable culinary delights”. The organisers said the Market will serve as a celebration of the nation’s rich cultural heritage and will provide a unique platform for local artisans to showcase their talents.
Vendors are especially encouraged to participate in this vibrant community event, with options for daily rates or a comprehensive five-day package. Registration is open daily from 8:00 a.m to 4:00 p.m at the main office of Peace Memorial Hall in Kingstown. The deadline for registration is October 7, 2024.
