Passenger van accident results in multiple injuries
A traffic collision involving three passenger vans resulted in close to a dozen people having to seek medical attention at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) this morning.
Reports reaching SEARCHLIGHT indicate that sometime around 7:15 am a Vermont passenger van, travelling through Stoney Ground on its way to Kingstown, collided with another passenger van. A third passenger van which was stationery in the area was also struck.
One van was extensively damaged with some passengers sustaining severe injuries. Up to ten persons were transported to hospital with one individual currently in critical condition. There have been no reported fatalities.
Police said that a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision will be conducted to determine the cause and any contributing factors.
