Ashford Wood to demit office as CEO of CDC
After more than two decades as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Carnival Development Corporation, Ashford Wood will soon be demitting office.
The announcement of Woods’ departure was made by the CDC Chairman, Ricardo Adams, at the Vincymas 2024 prize giving ceremony last Wednesday, September 18, at the CDC office, Victoria Park.
“We want to say thank you for your services over the years,” Adams said as he wound up his address to those in attendance.
“ In another two weeks, Mr. Ashford Wood is going to step into a post-CDC retirement life, where he will be smiling a lot more.”
Wood first served for three years as Executive Secretary of the then Carnival Development Committee from 1990, and then as CEO from 2002 when the entity became a Statutory Corporation.
