State of decomposition hinders results of autopsy

The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) has provided an update on the investigation into the death of 39-year-old Michael Dabreo.

Dabreo’s decomposing body was discovered in Level Gardens on Saturday, August 31, 2024.

A post-mortem examination was conducted on September 2, 2024.

The pathologist’s findings indicate that the exact cause of death could not be definitively determined due to the advanced state of decomposition. However, the examination indicated that Dabreo had a history of chronic alcoholism, which may have been a significant contributing factor in his death.

At this time, there is no evidence to suggest any foul play.

The RSVGPF, in a release, said they remain thorough in our investigation to ensure that every aspect of the case has been carefully reviewed. Anyone with information related to this investigation is urged to contact the police.

“Even the smallest detail could be helpful in concluding this matter.”

The RSVGPF extended condolences to the family and friends of Dabreo and assured the public they are committed to maintaining transparency and ensuring that all findings are accurate and complete.
