Arrowroot farmers receive production support
Last Thursday, September 5, 2024, some 219 Arrowroot farmers received Direct Agriculture Support Vouchers at the Arrowroot Association’s Office in Orange Hill.
The total value of the support to Arrowroot farmers is valued at $212,995.00. This will assist farmers in their recovery efforts following the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
Times, dates and places will be announced for the collection of Direct Production Support for other commodities in the coming days. Farmers are required to take a valid identification card.
The Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines has budgeted EC$5.5 million for direct production support to farmers, and EC$2 million to Fishers. (API)
