Bagga resident charged with attempted murder granted bail

A Barrouallie resident was granted bail after he was charged for stabbing a Layou resident in the area of his chin at the Keartons Playing Field.

Linsberth Anderson appeared at the Barrouallie Magistrate’s Court on August 23, 2024 where he was charged that on August 20, 2024 at Keartons, Barrouallie, with intent to commit the offence of murder on Koby Mingot of Layou, did an act which is more than merely preparatory to the commission of the offence. The charge was laid indictably so he was not required to plea.

Anderson was granted bail in the sum of $12,000 with one surety. He was ordered not to have any contact with Mingot and to report to the Barrouallie Police Station every Monday and Friday between 7 a.m and 6 p.m. He also has been placed on curfew every day between 7 a.m and 6 p.m. The matter was adjourned and transferred to the Serious Offences Court before Senior Magistrate Colin John on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, who then adjourned the matter to October 15, 2024.
