Police investigating death of Vermont preteen

The Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force is investigating the circumstances which led to the death of a preteen from the community of Vermont.

The body of the 12-year-old was discovered today, Tuesday August 20 under the main section of a concrete house where his aunt and other relatives live.

Neighbours were reportedly made aware of the child’s death sometime around 2pm after he was found by another minor from the area.

Scores of residents, including the child’s distraught mother and father, were praying and singing gospel songs at the scene while investigations were being carried out.

The deceased was set to start secondary school for the new school term. His death is being treated as unnatural.
