Former member of Parliament of SVG Offord Morris to be accorded an official funeral

FORMER PARLIAMENTARIAN under the St Vincent Labour Party administration, Offord Morris, will be accorded an official funeral. Morris died on July 10, 2024; he was 95 years old.

During the obituaries session in Parliament on Thursday morning, July 18, 2024, Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves said Morris’ official funeral will take place on Friday, July 26.

The body will lie at the Parliament building in Calliaqua, and the official viewing will be from 9-11 am.

Members of the public will get the opportunity to view the body at the Parliament building from 11 a.m.

Following this, the body of the former Parliamentarian, will be transported to Biabou, where Morris lived.

The funeral service will be held at the Biabou Anglican Church from 2 p.m.

Morris was originally from Lowmans Windward, and at one time served as the Member of Parliament for the constituency of South Central Windward.

The Morris family is also mourning the loss of another loved one, Wadey Morris. The former farmer/ businessman lived at Point Village, and was buried in Owia on July 6, 2024.
