Carpenter who stole garbage bin to be sentenced today

A 57 year old carpenter who pleaded guilty to stealing a garbage bin on May 11, 2024, will know his fate when he returns to court today, May 28, 2024.

The police said in a release that they arrested Junior Straker of Kingstown, on May 16, 2024, and charged him with stealing a blue 90 gallon garbage bin valued at EC$ 1,002.65 that belongs to the National Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (NTRC).

The garbage bin was reported stolen at Richmond Hill on May 11, 2024.

Straker pleaded guilty to the offence on May 17,2024, and was remanded into custody; and the matter was adjourned to May 28, 2024, for sentencing.
