$240,000 win came at ‘opportune time’ for dental therapist

Andrew Williams, a dental therapist has found 240,000 reasons to smile as the country’s latest Super 6 Jackpot Winner.

The FairHall resident who works as a dental therapist collected his winnings at a ceremony at the National Lottery Authority (NLA) Association on Tuesday May 7, 2024.

Williams’ winning numbers were 05, 06, 10, 20, 22 and 23, and he also won four numbers on a separate ticket.

He said he has been playing all the lottery games “for quite a while” and he is overjoyed at winning the Jackpot.

“I just want to say thanks to God for this opportunity. And also thanks to the national lottery for the winnings. It did come at an opportune time. And I do assure you that this will be put to really good use. I’m really happy at this time.”

Williams admitted to being a reserved individual and opted not to share the full details of his plans for the lottery win, however he disclosed that the money has come at the right time to complete outstanding projects on which he has been working.

“Honestly, I am a private individual. I like to keep my stuff private, but there are a lot of things happening for me at this time. And as I see this winning came at an opportune time when it is very much needed. And it would be used to help to complete a lot of those projects that’s happening right about now.”

General Manager of the NLA, McGregor Sealey advised Williams to spend his winnings wisely and urged him to keep playing as he might strike lucky again.

“Congratulations…and I hope I see you later. Sometimes lightning does strike twice in the same place”.
