Police to hold walkabout and concert in Sharpes
The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF), and the National Commission on Crime Prevention (NCCP), will collaborate to stage a walkabout and community concert in Redemption Sharpes on Thursday January 25, 2024. The Police band, and the Redemption Sharpes Police Youth Club will be part of the activity that is scheduled to begin at 4:00 p.m with the walkabout, to be followed at 5:00 p.m by the concert on the Redemption Sharpes Playing Field, a release from the police states.
The community of Redemption Sharpes is a hot spot for criminal activities often involving the use of fire arms.
The walkabout and concert are part of the RSVGPF’s 2024 calendar of events to increase the organization’s visibility and its relationship with communities and members of the public in general. The primary objective is to build resilient and safer communities through community policing.
The police are urging residents of Redemption Sharpes and the surrounding areas to be part of this community activity. Residents will also have an opportunity to perform with the police band.
