Tourism minister attends Sandals International forum in Jamaica
St. Vincent and the Grenadines Minister of Tourism, Carlos James will deliver a keynote address to international sales executives at the annual Sandals Global Sales meeting in Ocho Rios, Jamaica today, Friday January 5, 2024.
The Sandals Global Sales meeting is designed to bring together all international branches of the Sandals sales team, including from North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, a release states.
In an effort to ramp up bookings to the multi-island destination among global sales executives, Minister James will push for more support to the nation’s tourism product offering.
Sandals Resorts International’s (SRI) newest all-inclusive resort in St Vincent and the Grenadines is set to welcome its first guests on March 27, 2024. Set against a rainforest backdrop between mountains and the sea, the new resort is now open for reservations with direct flights to St Vincent and the Grenadines from London Heathrow, Miami International, JFK in New York and Pearson International in Toronto, Canada.
The 50-plus-acre resort will offer 301 rooms, featuring two-story overwater villas, meandering rivers, and other “Sandals Firsts.”
“All eyes are on St. Vincent and the Grenadines as an emerging tourism destination. I am pleased that our tourism development is taking shape, and it is being done in a sustainable way,” minister James said.
The minister returns to the State on Sunday.
