Police credit union donates $5000 to Christmas carolling contest
The Police Cooperative Credit Union (PCCU) has donated $5000 to the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) towards the hosting of the Police Christmas Carolling Contest.
Ayanna Samuel, Manager of the PCCU, handed over the cheque to Enville Williams, Commissioner of Police at the Police Conference on Wednesday, November 22.
Also present at the event were Brenton Smith, President of the PCCU, and Sergeant Cornelius Ross from the Police Christmas Carolling Committee and the Public Relations and Complaints Department.
Commissioner Williams expressed sincere appreciation for the PCCU’s generous donation, emphasizing its significant role in fostering enduring relationships with corporate partners.
Samuel conveyed her organisation’s elation at collaborating with the police force. She highlighted the shared goal of bringing Christmas cheer to the community and providing a platform for the talents of the members of the RSVGPF.
The Police Christmas Carolling Contest will take place on Friday, December 15, at the Central Police Station, commencing at 7:30 pm.
Sixteen groups are expect to participate, with eight in the juniors and eight in the seniors category.
The defending champions are the Western Division Carollers in the seniors and the Layou Police Youth Club in the juniors.
