Athletes in Action forms strategic partnership

Athletes in Action (AiA), an organisation aimed at helping students with sporting capabilities shine both on and off the field has formed what they consider a strategic partnership with Venture Sports USA.

Recently, AiA, a non- profit organization dedicated to empowering young athletes in St Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) that signifies a commitment to help student-athletes reach their full potential and secure athletic scholarships in the United States (US).

Founder and President of Athletes in Action Shane Cadogan told SEARCHLIGHT this week that their partnership with Venture Sports USA outlines several key initiatives that aim to support the dreams of student-athletes in SVG.

He said that under the partnership, AiA will identify any interested athletes and connect them to Nexus Global Party L.L.C. trading as Venture Sports USA.

“Venture Sports USA, will qualify and provide complimentary student scholarship assessments, helping show parents and students what would be possible for them.

“Students deemed eligible for scholarship placement will receive support from Venture Sports USA to help connect them with universities in the NCAA, NAIA or NJCAA,” Cadogan explained.

Cadogan noted also that Venture Sports USA will work with AiA to collaborate on future events for educational purposes in an effort to inform students, parents or team members how American scholarships work and answer any questions.

“This partnership reflects a shared commitment to championing the aspirations of young athletes in the Caribbean. It is a vital step toward helping these athletes achieve their dreams and access opportunities for academic and athletic success in the United States,” Cadogan told SEARCHLIGHT.

He said they are excited to partner with Venture Sports USA to provide invaluable support and resources to the talented student-athletes of SVG.

“This collaboration strengthens our mission to empower the next generation of athletes, and we look forward to achieving great things together,” Cadogan further commented.

Athletes in Action is expected to hold its first public event on Friday December 15, a corporate mixer aimed at stakeholders, businesses, sporting associations and schools. This event will be followed by a football match on Saturday December 16 at Arnos Vale, aimed at raising funds.

The Board of Directors are Cadogan (Founder, President), Jules Snagg (Director, Squash), Oalex Anderson (Director, Football), Sebastian Cyrus (Director, Tennis), Solomon Bascombe (Director, Cricket), Handal Roban (Director, Track & Field), Alex Joachim (Director, Swimming), Tahj Bailey (Treasurer) and Paige Cadogan (Secretary).
