North Union Secondary Alumni donate computers to Alma Mater

Members of the North Union Secondary School (NUSS) Alumni Association handed over 89 desktop and laptop computers to the school on Friday, September 29 to help boost the school’s academic programme.

President of the NUSS Alumni Association Moulton Sayers said the association is happy to give back to its alma mater. He urged the students to take care of the computers, noting that the devices will assist the students in conducting academic research.

Sayers also pledged to assist the school in its cultural and sporting programmes, among other areas. He further encouraged the students to make the best use of their opportunity at the school.

Meanwhile, Principal of the North Union Secondary School St Clair Da Santos expressed gratitude to the Alumni Association for its timely donation. Da Santos said the students are conversant with technology, adding that the teaching staff is tasked with finding ways to reach each student, using the necessary technological tools, in order to them find a niche for their particular aptitude.

Da Santos also said the school intends to setup an information technology laboratory to teach the parent body how to use the computers as part of the school’s outreach programme.
