Archery Association of SVG set to host inaugural National Championships

The Archery Association of SVG will host its first National Archery Championships on August 26-27, 2023 at the Sir Vincent Beache Track at Diamond.

The competition will be made up of two rounds, namely the qualifying ranking round on Day 1 (Saturday, August 26) of the event, and the set system elimination round to determine the overall winners, which will take place on Day 2 (Sunday, August 27).

The event will have three general categories: Male 30 m Open, Female 30 m Open and a Beginner 20 m Mixed Open. The event will start at 1:00 pm on both days.

“It is a proud moment for the executive and members of this relatively new sporting organization to announce that they will be hosting their first National Tournament. It is a clear sign of the progress being made by the association here in SVG,” a release from the Association said.

“The championship event is open to the general public, and we encourage all sporting fans to come and support our competitors as we put on a display of the best archers in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

We wish to thank the management of the Stadium Facility, and the National Lotteries Authority and our dedicated team for their support of our event.”
