Unemployed woman charged with theft

Shekelia Gibson, a 27-year-old unemployed woman of Redemption Sharpes has been arrested and charged with theft.

A release from the police said that Gibson, who was charged on August 5, is accused of stealing EC$3,150 in cash from a 33-year-old labourer of Redemption Sharpes. The offence is said to have occurred in Kingstown between 4:00 am on January 8 and 11:25 am on January 9, 2023

Gibson appeared before the Kingstown Magistrate’s Court on August 7 and pleaded not guilty to the offence. She was given station bail.

The matter was adjourned to October 10, 2023.
