Man charged for hitting 60 year old woman in her eye granted $3,000 bail

A 32 year old man of Georgetown who pleaded not guilty to a charge of grievous bodily harm was granted bail in the sum of $3,000 when he appeared at the Georgetown Magistrate’s Court on Monday, June 5.

Andell Spring, a 32 year old farmer of Georgetown was arrested on June 2, and charged for unlawfully and maliciously inflicting grievous bodily harm on a 60 year old farmer of Georgetown by striking her on her right eye with a piece of pipe. The incident is alleged to have taken place at Georgetown at about 6:30 p.m. on May, 31, 2023.

The court on Monday, also ordered Spring not to have any contact with the virtual complainant. The matter was adjourned and transferred to June 12, 2023, at the Serious Offences Court.
