New Mas band “Energy” to be launched on Saturday

The newest mas entity, Energy, will officially launch this Saturday, March 25 at the Sion Hill Intersection.

Apart from formally announcing its presence, Energy will have on display its six sections that will be on show for Vincy Mas 2023.

Bandleader, Norman Quashie said the band plans to live up to its name and will be bringing a lot of energy on the roads.

“ We are a new band… We know that we have to stay two years before we can enter the competition, so it is all about energy, fun and partying.”

Quashie revealed to SEARCHLIGHT the six sections that Energy will feature in their presentation: ‘Watch Out for Dis’.

“ Designed by Ossie Constance, our six sections include Red Moon, and Cowboys and Indians, which are for the children, along with the adult sections- Black and White, Pretty Woman, Jack-O-Lantern and Beautiful Night,” Quashie revealed.

“ Again, we are just about showing the people of St Vincent and the Grenadines what we have to offer, so we are just looking to have about 75 to 100 masqueraders as we present our band to the Vincentian people.”

Production will get going in full following Saturday’s launch and Quashie said that they are prepared to showcase their mas talent through a colourful production.
