Garifuna delegation to arrive in SVG on March 10
A Garifuna contingent is expected to arrive in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Friday, March 10, 2023.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will host a press conference at the Domestic Arrival section at the Argyle International Airport at 3:40 pm.
The arrival of the delegation is preceded by the Opening Ceremony of the 10th International Garifuna Conference at the NIS Conference Room.
The Conference will run over two days, from Thursday March 9 to 11. Thursdays’ events commence at 12 pm.
The Garifuna delegation will also be making a pilgrimage to Balliceaux on Sunday, March 12. Over 70 persons are expected to make the pilgrimage and the event is being organized by the Ministry of Culture.
