Veteran Mas man Elliot Douglas to be laid to rest
Veteran Mas man and former Deputy Chairman of the Carnival Bands Incorporated (CBI) Elliot ‘Elli King’ Douglas will be laid to rest today Wednesday October 19.
The service of thanksgiving for his life and work will be held at the St. George’s Cathedral, Kingstown.
His official funeral begins at 1:00 pm preceded by an outpouring of tributes from noon.

Douglas was a member of the Dragons Cultural Organization and an outstanding costume builder with a specialty in the making of moulds. He served as Deputy Chairman of the CBI from 1988 to 1991 and again during the period from 1994 to 2017. He continued to serve on the Executive of the CBI until his recent passing on Sunday September 25 at the age of 72.
The Carnival Development Corporation (CDC), the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Calypsonians Association Inc. (SVGCA Inc), the Youlou Pan Movement (YPM), and the Carnival Bands Association (CBI) extend sincere condolences to his close family, relatives, colleagues, and friends.
