The crossing, which was installed by the police over the weekend, came just ahead of the re-opening of schools on Monday, September 6.
Students, parents and teachers have welcomed the crossing sign which will enhance the safety of their children crossing the road to and from school.

On June 8,2022 Decia Peters and her cousin, Kiala Osment were struck by a vehicle as they were crossing the road to enter the school yard.
Kiala suffered a broken leg, while her cousin, Decia had lacerations to her head.

Both girls were able to return to school yesterday. At the time of the incident, parents of children attending the school had appealed to drivers to exercise more care on the roads.
